It’s the little things. Yes in deed! A tradition I have instilled in my family. Acknowledging and being thoughtful to the people in your lives that means the most. Life is what we make it. You can dismiss these special occasions, treat it like just another ordinary day or you can put a little thought into it and make it special.

My son Max had given me little tiny M&M’s that had my wedding picture in it. I couldn’t believe it. It brought tears to my eyes. My 2 sons, Trevor and Jake are not living at home but sent a beautiful message through text. 

My boys, Max, Trevor, Luke, and Jake are sensitive young men that have so much love in them. Being the only girl in the house, and seeing how their father puts attention on Valentine’s Day, the foundation has been built- through the love John and I have. 

I would like to share with you my son Luke’s Valentine letter to me. After reading-  I commended him for putting so much thought in his writing. 

I said that whoever becomes his Valentine for life— in the future—-will be forever smitten by his loving ways♥️

So here it is:

02/14/21 Dear Mom,

This valentine’s Day is a very special Valentine’s Day. No other year has been like this one, being difficult for all of us mentally and physically – but you still found a way to be a “super-mom”. Endless love and kindness is all a son can ask for from his mother, and you give more than that.

 I mean for god sake, we all had Covid including you. And you took care of everyone. That is literally heroic. You are my Queen, a different breed of mother. I really do love you with all my heart. You do so much for us-  it sometimes leaves me shocked. You fill my heart with love and stomach – with five star meals after you had a long day at work. We will forever be in your debt. 

But forget what you do for us, look at what you have done in the past year. You have really grown. From your blog, TickTock‘s, Instagram, you are really doing what you want to do, and enjoy doing and I love that. 

I could not be more proud of the person you are – the person you are becoming because you are still growing. Having you as my only 2021 valentine is amazing. I love you with all my heart. Happy Valentine’s Day.
